Why

Since there was more and more interest in the work that Mike and Sabien are doing together and because of the impact that is felt, both on a level of the workers as well as on a level of the organisation, Mike and Sabien started the idea of a Community of Practice. 

We are a world wide community where we can share and learn across boundaries, cultures and organisations…together with and from each other.

We are moving past “what works” towards “what works, for who, in which context?” both for us as social services and also for the people who we serve. In this we are seeing that the environment (such as economic realities, race, trauma/stress, resilience) are always in play as well. And that the position we take in “coaching” groups of people to work together alongside and with each other is essential. 

Together with the community of practice we want to see “best practices” in the catalysing and coaching of natural connected networks towards building strong fundaments for resilient parents and children now and later. In this way we want to support the next generation of workers, parents, and networks to create bigger impacts together.
